Ben is an industrial designer based in Canberra, ACT. Currently employed as Digital Services Technician at University of Canberra in the design-focused Workshop7, he has a diverse range of skills spanning from traditional model making to computational design and digital fabrication. Ben’s most notable accomplishments during his time at Workshop7 would include creating a digital workflow for the use of their Universal Robots 6-axis robot, which can be used with the tools and attachments he has co-developed to machine, shape, draw, extrude, and manipulate various materials.

With a background in carbon fibre composites design and manufacturing, Ben has an appreciation for craftsmanship with niche materials. Since starting out in his studio workshop in Canberra, ACT, Ben has had the opportunity to help produce composite snowboard bindings for our Australian Olympic Boardercross team, design and produce an aerodynamic performance package for a World Time Attack Challenge racing team, and produce natural fibre composite furniture.
